Nikolas' research and teaching spans Public International Law, International Legal Theory, International Relations Theory, International Criminal Law, the Law of Armed Conflict and Transnational Law. He came to the Netherlands from the University of Kent (UK), where in 2015 he was awarded the Faculty of Social Sciences Prize for Early Career Research. Previously, Nikolas has been an Adjunct Professor in International Law and International Relations at Kyung Hee University (South Korea), and n Adjunct in Transnational Law at the Université de Sherbrooke (Canada). His current research is at the intersection of International Law, International Relations, and Critical Geography. Nikolas is senior faculty, and an Academic Council member of the Harvard Law School's Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP). He is currently Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow (2021-22) at the Law Department of the European University Institute (Italy). Rajkovic is Professor and Chair of International Law at Tilburg University (The Netherlands), and is the former Head of the Department of Public Law and Governance (PLG).
